Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Your prices!
A: I make these one at a time, out of silver (or brass), and go through tools like you wouidn't believe. And if Dura Ace or Miche rings were sterling, they'd cost a little bit more, too.
Q: How do I figure out my RING size?
A: Take a strip of paper, wrap it around your finger end-to-end, and measure it (metric is more precise, the thing about tens and all), and tell it to me. Or, find a ring that fits one of your fingers, and measure the diameter. Tell me that.
Q: How do I figure out my HAND size?
A: It's your wrist size, actually, but these are 'bangles,' and have to slide over your hand, so ... hold your hand as tight as you can, with the thumb out of the way, and measure around the largest part. Give me that measurement.
Q: What's oxide?
A: A treatment which makes the ring or bracelet dark, rather than shiny. This finish will wear off with time, much like a drivetrain part on your bicycle will loose shine or whatever. Think the 'back sprocket' on your 1977 Mongoose. It's like that, after a few weeks.
Q: Can you make a six-notch bracelet?
A: I'm working on it!
Q: How about brass?
A: That too! (You noticed the brass ring, eh?)
Q: What's that writing I see on the rings?
A: Oh, I initial my things! WES, is one thing they say. They might say "lockring," too, or "lockringlet." "Do U Race" might make it in there, too, if you get that hint.
